Internationale Ausstellung von Nichts (International Exhibition of Nothing), 1960. pamphlet and invitation card. GF | B | The exhibition was organized by Herbert Schuldt in a dilapidated villa in the Lokstedt district in Hamburg. It included empty frames, unprinted book pages, unpainted canvases, blank film rolls, and raw lumps of clay. On the front of the leaflet is the "Manifesto against nothing for the international exhibition of nothing". On the reverse is the invitation to the International Exhibition with the following text: "Opening Friday, July 1, 8 pm, Exhibition spaces Hamburg, Grandweg 24. Duration of the exhibition until July 6th, 2006. Secretariat Herbert Schuldt. The exhibition will be shown for the first time." The International Exhibition of Nothing has been reconstructed in 2004 at the Kunsthalle Hamburg. | |
